For this project, Perfect Garden were asked by a local primary school to produce a concept plan for a multi-use woodland activity area within the school grounds.
The brief was to create various outdoor learning facilities within the grounds whilst utilising existing features to best effect with minimal disturbance to the mature woodland.
“This plan outlines the exciting first phase development of Highfield Priory School’s Woodland Area. The aim is to create a natural learning environment for the children in which all subjects can be brought to life through nature in the Great Outdoors and children from 6months to 11years will have direct and regular access into the woodland. In the first phase, we will create a formal entrance , outdoor Theatre/Classroom, Storytelling Area and a Bird Watching Area. These areas will utilize the natural features that already exist in the woodland and they will be linked by a series of paths. It is hoped that over the years the development of this area will create a real haven for wildlife in the heart of Preston.”
