Should you wish to carry out the work yourself or use your own gardener or contractor to implement the designs we can assist you with this by providing a comprehensive project management package, details of which are outlined below.
The construction process
On completion of the design stage, and should you require further assistance, we can prepare documents for tender, including all the plans, the scope of works, and all the relevant specifications required to send out to landscape contractors for pricing the work.
At this stage we would also establish the role of Perfect Garden in the management of the project, from full support on a daily or weekly basis, depending on the size and complexity of the site, to an agreed number of visits to site at key stages, such as initial set up, setting out, paving work, top soil preparation, approving the plants and planting, and inspecting the finished project for defects.
We would recommend obtaining 2-3 quotes from different companies to ensure competitiveness. Perfect Garden can assist you in this process by recommending trusted companies from our approved contractors list, these are contractors who we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Alternatively you may already have a contractor in mind.
The majority of contractors would ask to visit the site prior to pricing the work to familiarise themselves with the project and Perfect Garden can take care of this for you, if you wish.
Once the prices have been submitted, we can assist you in choosing the right company for your requirements.
When the contractor has been chosen, we suggest a preliminary site meeting to discuss all aspects of the project and agree the project preambles. By doing this we create the standards by which the project will be adhered to.
Upon commencement of the build we will monitor progress as agreed, liaising with all relevant trades, contractors and yourselves, to review and effectively manage the project, and will always be available to give our advice and support should the unexpected happen.
On completion of the build, we will visit site to meticulously inspect and examine the quality and specification of the finished work, and if required, raise our recommendations and requirements with the relevant trades or contractors, before signing the project off for approval and payment by yourselves.
